This season saw huge technical advances from our first competing car, including a switch from DC to AC motors and a total weight decrease of 126 pounds (57 kg). These changes propelled us to 2nd place in the electric division at Formula Hybrid.

The removal of chain-drive systems and CV axles, a more compact chassis design, and extensive use of aluminum and composites resulted in a massive 17% weight decrease from the previous year's car. Dual in-hub AC motors driving the rear wheels via planetary gearboxes reduced friction and energy loss between the motor and the wheel, improving durability and efficiency. Although the 5.2 kWh LiFePO4 battery pack was carried over from the previous year, improved motor controllers increased power from 30 kW to 36 kW (each motor).
