This season's race car won the award for Excellence in Vehicle Design at Formula Hybrid. The car, the second to be based on PRE's second ever chassis, placed 2nd at Formula Hybrid.
This season's vehicle made alterations over the chassis of last season's. The planetary gearboxes driving the rear wheels were redesigned for durability and efficiency. Although we were unable to implement a new battery pack as planned due to delays with our supplier, we managed to push higher performance out of last year's 5.2 kWh LiFePO4 battery pack. The team was elated to bring home the Excellence in Vehicle Design award.
