We are designing the powertrain system for the next generation of the car. This spans from the accumulator (battery) system to the motors and everything in between. Right at the overlap between electrical and mechanical, we will model power systems in MATLAB or Python, cooling systems using ANSYS, and CAD the assembly using NX. As we go from initial conception to a closed design by the end of May 2023, we will be wearing many hats. First would be project management with initial project scoping and planning, then would be iterative simulation and design and possible prototyping of manufacturing processes (such as spot welding). Prepared to be electrified!
