Our MK2 PCB Design team designs a custom PCB to throttle motor torque output to prevent overheating. Together, we will be responsible for designing and building this board to read each motor’s thermistor in addition to interfacing with the VCU to take in steering input.

This process will follow the entire PCB design trajectory, from identifying external system inputs and outputs to soldering and assembly. To familiarize all team members with PCB design basics, we'll be starting in KiCAD before pivoting to Altium, the leading industry standard for board design.
