Converting electric power to on-track performance is the essence of an electric race car. Our drivetrain team is responsible for the structures that transfer the motor's torque to the road, support the motor, gearbox, and brakes, and connect these to the car's suspension and steering. We use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure excellent performance at high efficiency. We then employ design-for-manufacturing (DFM) methodologies to ensure all components are cost-effective and easy to make, while still reliable and lightweight. We manufacture our drivetrain in-house, applying tried and true manual and automated manufacturing methods.
